Even when the kids are stuck indoors, there are countless ways to keep them busy. Our family’s favorite way is to let the kids lead – children naturally love learning. We also enjoy science experiments and history videos. But here’s another idea – museums around the world have joined together to offer virtual tours of some of their most famous exhibitions.

From the Netherlands to Japan, the virtual museum collection includes many of the world’s most famous museums, as well as those of smaller galleries.

The collections are organized in alphabetical order or by map. The map feature is excellent for history studies!

see inside museums and tour famous landmarks

One of the most exciting sections of the collection is the ability to see inside museums. Just as we can do with street-view in Google Maps, we’re able to walk around an empty museum. It’s such a fun thing to do! Stroll through the Rijksmuseum, The British Museum, and more.

You’re also able to walk around famous landmarks, such as the Hollywood Boulevard, the Sydney Opera House and the Wuzhen Water Theatre.

Get a closer – much closer – look at pieces of art

Using 360° video, look closely at huge art works such as Queen Victoria’s Durbar Room and Carnegie Hall. Look more closely at sculptures, architecture, and fashion classics.

Zoom closely on paintings such as Claude Monet’s Water-Lily Pond and Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring.

Balancing Homeschooling while Working From Home

At times, well-intentioned advice suggests that dedicating an entire day to homeschooling leaves no room for a job during regular hours. This is not necessarily so. My husband and I owned a garden center for a few years while also homeschooling. After that, I had an online business while homeschooling. We did not “only work … Read More about Balancing Homeschooling and Working From Home – a Realistic Approach
