I’ve been absolutely swamped lately. Our children are ages 11, 14, 16, and 18 and that means busyness that I never expected when they were young! The past two weeks have been full of ballet performances, a youth orchestra concert, a choral concert, a graduation, and more. It’s been crazy.
In the midst of all the rush, one of the teens handed me these watercolor trays.
Immediately I was taken back a few years, to simpler days — to memories of beautiful, breezy, sunny days when we would sit in the grass or on a stump, nature journaling. I will never regret a moment spent away from the textbooks, painting wildflowers or tree bark or stones, or whatever we happened to study, sketch, and paint.
I need to get back to nature journaling.
Do you nature journal in your homeschool?
This will really enhance our botany studies Lori, thanks so much 🙂
