Let's have some fun today, shall we?
Comics can be useful for hesitant readers
Comics can be useful for reluctant writers
Comics can be useful for creative spellers
Comics can be useful for challenging artists
…and comic-creating can be quite useful for delaying Summer boredom!
Also, as FreelyEducate.com reader, Jana, pointed out, "I noticed that the "Book of Virtues" unit you listed recently called for students to produce a comic strip in the first unit!"
Jana is the one who let us know about the Make Beliefs Comix! site (they are obviously creative spellers, too). She describes the site like this, "It is a site that allows you to make your own comic strips using characters that they have provided. You can change their expressions, add props, etc. It's great for creativity, especially for kids who need a humorous outlet for their energy! It could also be a possible product that kids could use to show what they've learned in a different way."
Use the comic generator for foreign language practice, too. You can write your comics in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, or Latin!
Thank you, Jana, for sharing this 100% free, high quality, educational find with us!
