I was given the opportunity to throw a party to review candy, and what mother of teenagers could resist that? Since a group of boys regularly come to our house on Saturday nights to view the latest Dr. Who episode, I thought I'd let them be the reviewers of UNREAL candy.
UNREAL candy is UnJunked: UNREAL candy has 30% less sugar, 60% more fiber and 250% more protein on average per serving than other leading competing brands. The candy is made from:
- real cane sugar
- no corn syrup
- more cacao
- no artificial preservatives
- real milk
- no artificial colors or flavors
- no hydrogenated oils or fats
Do these changes sacrifice taste? I needed to know the truth, so I invited 12 teenaged boys and my teen daughter to sample UNREAL candy. The kids were happy with the taste. The only negative feedback I received is that there is a bit of an aftertaste from the chocolate. The favorite items varied: one boy liked the peanut butter cups best; another liked the candy coated chocolates with peanuts best.
Here are some of the tweets that went out during our party:
Mmmmmmmm these [peanut butter cups] are "Unreal" and delicious.— Nick
This candy should be the new top brand, the only difference is the lack of fake stuff. – Zach
This candy is really good. Y'all should @getunreal – Micah
Where to find UNREAL candy: The candy is being sold "head-t0-head at the same price" as leading competing brands in stores such as CVS, Walgreens, Michael's, Staples, and Target.
