It’s Labor Day today, but soon it will be….Constitution Day! September 17th is set aside for all US schools to study the United States Constitution. C-SPAN recently sent an email requesting that we let you know about their free Constitution Clips. Here’s more about that, from C-SPAN:
“C-SPAN Classroom is launching C-SPAN’s Constitution Clips, to help teachers explain the U.S. Constitution. It features more than 100 video clips of elected officials, journalists and political experts talking about key phrases in the Constitution (i.e. We the People, Advice and Consent, The Establishment Clause, etc…). Teachers can go to the portion of the Constitution they’re teaching, click on a phrase and play a video clip. Videos come from C-SPAN’s Video Library. You can access this resource by clicking on the yellow tab on the C-SPAN Classroom homepage.“
How to Get This Freebie:
If you took advantage of the free 6′ long C-SPAN Presidential Timeline Poster that we highlighted in June, you’ll be able to access Constitution Clips with the member information you used to get that poster, so go to the Constitution Clips page and sign in.
If you’re not a member of C-SPAN Classroom yet, you can still sign up for C-SPAN Classroom, get your free (huge) poster, and visit Constitution Clips. Start here.
